TN Census Blocks

To Identify a Census Block

For more detailed instructions, click here.

  1. On the toolbar, click the Identify tool.
  2. In the map display, click on a location within the Census Block you want to identify. An identify icon will be placed on the map at the location selected. After a few moments, an entry for the location will appear in the Results section.
  3. Expand the result by clicking the plus sign. This displays the Census Blocks layer that had features identified.
  4. Expand the Census Blocks layer to display the ID of the selected Census Block.
  5. Expand the ID to get more information on the selected Census Block, including the total number of households in the Census Block, the number of served households, and the number of unserved households.

Note: Totals of served and unserved households may not equal the total number of households in the Census Block due to rounding.

You can also see the number of served and unserved households by census block within your county by locating your county profile on our Find Your County page.
